 The state mandated
that 85% of the retail gasoline
in the state shall be blended with 10% ethanol by
April 2, 2006. After the mandate
went into effect, boaters and fishermen started experiencing
problems with ethanol in their fiberglass fuel tanks
and marine engines.
Aloha conferred with the State of Hawaii Department of Business
Economic Development & Tourism and State Representative
Dwight Takamine and decided to offer ethanol free gasoline to the
market
to
meet the needs of the boaters and fishermen.
